This is a beautiful alkaline lake and lies 80 kilometers north of Nakuru at the foot of the eastern edge of the Rift Valley. During the time when lake Nakuru water level is low, flamingoes migrate to this lake in thousands. The rare, shy greater Kudu can also be seen in this lake where they come to drink fresh water from the hot springs. Another attraction to this lake is the exciting steam jets and gushing geysers at the southern end of the lake. |
