It lies eighty-five kilometers east of Meru town. It is known as George Adamson country as he was the park's game warden and became famous after the movie, Born Free, was made on the story of his pet cub Elsa. Once upon a time, this park was home to the white rhinos but these were killed by poachers. At present more rhinos have been acquired from South Africa and reside in a few of the national parks within the country. There is a camp and a lodge which can offer accommodation. |
